about
This song was written about an incident I had after taking a girlfriend to London for a day out on her birthday. We ended up at the environmental cafe in Covent Garden - which has a long tunnel entrance (a reference to this is made in the song). I had had a few glasses of red wine and that badly affects my memory - sometimes it can be for a few minutes sometimes for 20 minutes but it is a total blank.
I remember walking up the tunnel to leave the place thinking "Why am I here". So I went back to where we were sitting and there she was. When I asked her what had happened she said "You know whathappened - you asked a stupid question".
To this day I do not know what the question was.

Lyrics
Verse 1
You say I asked a question
I don’t know why
I say I don’t remember
What was on my mind
And now I’m left here just wondering
What went on that night
Its like i wiped out the memory of
That moment in time
Chorus
The dancing is all over
Cant call you on the phone
I just dont remember
The memory has all gone
Oh what went on that night
I just dont know x 3
Verse 2
I know I walked up the tunnel
Left you there behind
I know I went back to ask you
Why I was so blind
Thousand times I ve replayed that moment
Running through my head
Shattered something really importantly
For something that I said
Chorus
The dancing is all over
Cant call you on the phone
I just dont remember
The memory has all gone
Oh what went on that night
Lead solo
Verse 3
It was going so well and
We were having fun
You looked so lovely in that dress
In the shining Sun
And now you wont even answer
when I text or phone
Im sorry that I upset you
Left you on your own
Chorus
The dancing is all over
Cant call you on the phone
I just dont remember
The memory has all gone
Oh what went on that night
